Creation of Automated Sales Invoice:

Sales Invoice is created automatically based on data received in staging table through PayPal API.

Creation of Automated Cash Receipt Journal (Customer paying their Amount in PayPal Channel Account):

Cash Receipt Journal is created automatically based on data received in staging table through PayPal API.

Creation of Automated General Journal (Record Commission Fees Entry):

General Journal is created automatically based on data received in staging table through PayPal API.

Creation of Automated Contra Entry (Amount Transfer from PayPal Channel to Bank Account):

Cash Receipt Journal (Contra Entry) is created automatically based on data received in staging table through PayPal API.

What is PayPal Transactional Data?

PayPal Transactional Data can be defined as a Staging Table, where the data from PayPal API is fetched into PayPal Transaction Data Table in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Based on the Event Code (Website Payment / General Payment) users can create an Automated Sales Invoice, Cash Receipt entry and Commission fees entry through General Journal in the PayPal Batch.

Also, users can create a transaction for Event Code (General Currency Conversion) Transfer Entry / Contra Entry to transfer the Amount from PayPal channel Account to Company Bank Account using the Pay Central App.

PayPal App Setup

Pay Central App can be considered as a tool that helps you integrate your PayPal channel transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Systems. Since, it is a configuration-based app, users can easily activate the App Setup by submitting the particulars in the PayPal Transaction Connection Setup fields.

PayPal App can be controlled using different parameters:

2. Application Setup

Assisted Application Setup

If you are a first-time user working on PayPal, it would require you to setup Add on App through Assisted Setup. You can simply go to the Setup PayPal Add On option and define the username, password, and base URL. Once done, you can simply click on Next and Finish the Setup.

PayPal Transaction Connection Setup

In Transaction Connection Setup, it would require a user to define the Company Name, PayPal Bank Account No, PayPal Contra Account No, Sales Invoice G/L Code, Sales Invoice No. Series, and Posted Invoice No. Series Code, etc. This one-time Setup also requires users to define the Base URL, Access Token secret ID, and Password.
